Saturday the 28th of August saw the first association training day since lockdown finished. With the last eighteen months putting training on hold, it was good to finally get back on the mat and trains with our many friends from all of the association clubs.
In addition to training, several students from West Sussex took their gradings. Congratulations to the following students:-
Zack Banks - 2nd tab Yellow belt.
Orlando Farci - Orange belt
Gianluca Farci - Orange belt
Molly Lashwood - Orange belt
Michael Wright - Brown/White belt
Anthony Wheelan - Yellow belt
New website page
With the ongoing national restrictions preventing us from doing what we love and training in Jujitsu, the website has been updated with a new page to try and help members train at home.
The nature of Jujitsu means that we really need to train with others, which greatly restricts what we can do online.
We have added kubodo videos for each individual weapon so that you can still get your martial arts fix and practice weapons alone.
Hopefully with the roll out of vaccines we will be able to get back on the mat soon.
We are also currently looking at other ideas to add to the online training page. If any student has any suggestions of something they would like to see, please let Sensei Sid know, and we will try and add it.
At this time, all training is currently on hold due to the current Coronavirus lockdown restrictions. The website calendar has been updated but as you can see is looking a little bare.
As soon as we can start training again, Sensei Sid will look to plan some dates for grading’s, as well as additional training dates covering Kobudo and Black Belt specific training.
In the meantime members can try the new website page which has a series of videos showing the weapons katas.

Welcome to the Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu West Sussex website .
You are very welcome and we hope that you enjoy your visit. If you see anything that prompts a question or invites a comment please contact us.
We are part of one of the longest established Ju Jitsu associations in the UK, circa 1973, and our coaches have a great deal of experience in all aspects of the art which is why we are both the founder members of, and support MASA.
The hardest part of starting any martial art is walking through the door. The club Sensei’s are very approachable and friendly and you can be assured of a warm welcome from all the members.
For club training times and prices, please see the clubs page,
If you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to call Sensei Sid Martin on 07835 956713 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
